Missions

...be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.

Here at Harvest we believe in the Acts 1:8 philosophy of Missions. We believe that Christ has empowered us through the Holy Spirit and sent us to our Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria and to the ends of the earth.

How is this actualized here at HBC?

First, we have our Community Missions Team that provides ministry opportunities to the Paragould Community. These opportunities have come in the form of Block parties, Back to School events, Treats in the Streets Halloween Outreaches, providing funds and food to our local schools Weekend Food Backpack for children programs, Thanksgiving Community-wide Fellowship Meals and we have many other Community Mission outreaches that we are planning for the future.

Second, our Global Impact Team seeks to encourage HBC to give financially to our state and national missions offering, but that is not where our giving ends. The GIT leads HBC to give financially beyond SBC special offerings and to partner with ministries, evangelists and Church planters around the US and world. Our missions budget reflects our desire to reach the nations for Christ. Sending money is great, but we don’t just rely on giving. HBC sends teams all over the world. We have sent Short Term Mission teams to Seattle, WA, Kansas City, KS, Romania, Guatemala, East Asia, Nicaragua, Columbia, Brazil, Hungary, Kenya and are seeking God’s leading to go places we have never gone before.  This is in addition to our Student Ministry who uses Summer Camp time as Summer missions to introduce this generation to missions.

Whatever your talents, abilities, or gifts, they can be used on the mission field from Greene County to the ends of the world. If you would be open to allowing God to use you to reach the world, contact Josh Jordan our Missions Pastor or Jackie Fulton of the Global Impact Team for global missions, or the church office for other mission opportunities.
