The children's staff and volunteers at HBC understand that children are gifts from God. We are dedicated to sharing Jesus and the truths from God’s Word with children. Now more than ever, children need a solid foundation on which to build their lives. The life built on the foundation of this world will collapse when the storms of life come. Our goal is to help children build on Jesus Christ: the sure foundation.

Sunday Mornings

The Children’s Ministry offers graded Bible classes for children from birth through 5th grade. These classes are taught by loving adults who work and study hard to provide quality Bible studies for your children.

Kids Worship - Kids worship is Sunday mornings at 9:00 am for grades 3rd - 5th and 10:30 am for grades K - 2nd in the children's church room. Mrs. Holly leads the children in worship, activities, and a Bible lesson.

Nursery

Our nursery takes care of children birth through Preschool. We provide separate rooms for birth & toddlers, 2 & 3 year old's and PreK. We assure that all workers and volunteers have successfully completed a background check and Ministry Safe training.

We desire that all preschool children begin the journey of knowing God and experience His love through our caring volunteers. Preschoolers are nurtured in an activity-oriented, Bible-based, child-centered learning environment.

Team Kid

Team Kid meet every Wednesday night at 6:00 pm for grades Kindergarten through 5th grade.

Good News is the curriculum used in Team Kid. Good News is new for the next generation of kids - with high energy games, a greater emphasis on missions, and more memory verses that help kids apply Bible truths to real life - while kids learn Bible truths foundational for every Christian.

Schedule:

6:00 - 6:30 PM - Grade K - 3rd Bible Lesson and snacks

6:00 - 6:30 PM - Grade 4th - 5th Recreation

6:30 - 7:00 PM - Grade 4th - 5th Bible Lesson

6:30 - 7:00 PM - Grade K - 3rd Recreation

Summer Events

This summer check out what we have planned for the children's ministry. Starting with Camp Siloam Jun 3-7 for children who have completed 3rd - 5th grade.

June 19 - Pool & Fishing Party at Jack & Jean Cox's house located at 405 Unity Road from 9:30 to 11:00 am. Children will need to bring fishing poles and sunscreen. For children KN - 5th grade. KN and anyone who does not know how to swim MUST have an adult with them.

July 3 - Malco Studio at Greensborough Village. Cost: $5, includes small soda & popcorn. Children MUST register before June 24th in order to participate. KN must have an adult with them. Meet at the church at 9:15 am.

July 21-24 - VBS/VBX. VBS is for children who have completed KN - 4th grade. This years theme is Jungle Journey. Children will learn about the 7 C's of history. VBX is for children who have completed 5th - 6th grade. VBX will be off campus doing mission work in the community. Children will learn also about the 7 C's of history but also the importance of mission work.

August 8 - Ultimate Air in Jonesboro from 9:00-11:00 am. Cost: $10, includes socks. Children will need to bring extra money for snacks. KN must have an adult with them. For children who have completed KN - 5th grade.
